Six sickle-shaped riparian zones are arranged as aerated filters, filled with Argex and lava. They are separated from the pond by concrete walls that remain 5 cm below the water surface. This way the pond water can flow over the concrete wall into the filter. The water is then returned to the pond by airlifts via a drainage pipe on the bottom. In this way, the quality of the pond water will remain good.
