Rietland created this reed bed in December 2014 for the AquaReuse project. Waste water from a number of greenhouse horticulture companies is purified here and recycled as irrigation water for the crops.

Certification of a small-scale treatment wetland according to the European standard EN 12566/3. Rietland was the first European form to obtain this certificate and is thus far the only European firm that has the CE label under the Belgian BENOR certificate.
