An international workshop will take place at UFZ in Leipzig from Wednesday 12 June to Friday 14 June. 50 specialists from all over the world will exchange knowledge and experience.
The aim of this workshop is to direct future research into reed beds at the Langenreichenbach research center.
For several years now, a test platform has been located here where various types of reed fields, including aerated types, are being examined in parallel with identical wastewater.
The workshop is organized by Jaime Nivala (US), the inspiring researcher who now has several publications to her name based on the research carried out in Langenreichenbach. Dion van Oirschot will attend the workshop, as will a number of other members of Global Wetland Technology, such as Fabio Masi, Dirk Esser, Scott Wallace and Heribert Rustige.
